Experience with VR Headset

Experience with VR Headsets There are three kinds of VR headsets  Mobile-you need a smartphone to connect to Tethered-you need a PC to connect to  Standalone-you only need a place to charge it  Mobile headsets only have three degrees of freedom (3DOF). Tethered and Standalone have six degrees of freedom (6DOF). The 3DOF does not give the full effect of being in the game or place that you see with the headset.  Many companies make VR sets: Oculus, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo.    I have the Oculus Quest. It has 6DOF. It has hand controls and is a standalone.  Comparing the VR to the Xbox One:   the headset has better graphics and seems more real than the Xbox.  the xbox is easier to control because I don't have to move but moving with the headset seems more real.  the headset and controls you need a little more space but not too much.  the xbox has more games available.  Xbox you can play with more people being online.  Oculus would be fun to play

Technology that has helps Police/Military

Technology that has helps Police/Military  Every year with technology with military and police they come out with robots that make military and the police force a lot easier. They have been working on robotic K9 units that can open doors climb stuff and carry some things. But it also helps save some of the regular K9 dogs.  The Massachusetts State Police force/bomb squad has tested these K9 dogs and one of the  first type of robotic unit being tested around this area at a private testing facility. The robotic dog is named Spot. It can be used instead of sending a human into a harmful situation. It could be sent into a chemical spill, a hostage danger or a bomb scare. It has a 360 degree low light camera and an arm. It can be used for surveillance for a lot of police jobs.   The robot dog does not have weapons. The company that rents to robot dog can make it work how they want with their own program.  They do not want the robotic dog to scare people. If the company renting th

Car paints/wraps

Car paints/wraps The normal person who does not pay attention to cars and their designs may not know there can be more than the eye can see. Every year they come out with something crazy or something no one would expect like a company called LumiLor a glow in the dark painter and luminescent lights. https://www.lumilor.com Only just a few years ago when you could only get base colors for cars. They would hand paint them with natural resources like flowers. This needed more than just 1 or 2 coats it need more like 4 or 5 and it took a lot longer to dry then just a few hours it took about maybe a few days depending on what you got. Now you can get paints that glow or change color or even like a chrome color but if you can't pay for your car painted you can just wrap your car for a few hundred dollars for a basic color. It wouldn't take as long as painting the car and also if you get sick of the wrap then you can just rip it off. Painting a car will cost around 1000

How Social Media and Technology Help             In the ted talk I watched given by Clay Shirky, he discussed technology and how it is making history. Daily changes take place like new phones and features to big advancement like robots or cars/self driving.        The benefits of Social Media is to communicate fast and and make the public aware of all the advancement. Not only can you read about the technology but you can see it in action. Social media also allows for  popular artist and music from all over the world to be seen immediately.       Advancements in technology allows for cell phones to have a GPS which not only helps for guidances and maps. It can also provide your location to emergency services during an emergency. During an emergency some people can not handle to. pressure or being frantic so they might not know where they are or it is too tough to say where they might be. In these case technology can do it for us.       Some challenges with social media
