Technology that has helps Police/Military
Every year with technology with military and police they come out with robots that make military and the police force a lot easier. They have been working on robotic K9 units that can open doors climb stuff and carry some things. But it also helps save some of the regular K9 dogs.
The Massachusetts State Police force/bomb squad has tested these K9 dogs and one of the first type of robotic unit being tested around this area at a private testing facility. The robotic dog is named Spot. It can be used instead of sending a human into a harmful situation. It could be sent into a chemical spill, a hostage danger or a bomb scare. It has a 360 degree low light camera and an arm. It can be used for surveillance for a lot of police jobs.
The robot dog does not have weapons. The company that rents to robot dog can make it work how they want with their own program. They do not want the robotic dog to scare people. If the company renting the dog is using it to intimidate or hurt people then the Boston Dynamics company that owns it can take it back. Only one time the Dallas police sent a robotic dog in to kill a sniper that was dangerous.
